• The piercing is performed with an FDA approved, medical grade hand pressure device, which differs from a spring loaded piercing “gun”. With a hand pressure device, the piercer has full control over the piercing at all times and is able to guide the earring through the ear. All earrings are in their own sterile, single-use cartridges.

    Current research shows there is NO difference in tissue damage to the ear when piercing with a needle or hand pressure device (when piercing lobes or helix).

  • The Ear Studio only performs piercing on the outer ear, including the earlobe and cartilage.

  • The combination of the FDA approved, medical grade instrument and hypoallergenic earrings provide a gentle piercing experience. Some clients may experience a slight sting and feel warm after the procedure. Some report very little to no pain.

  • Yes, optional lidocaine numbing cream is available for $10.

  • Avoid submerging your new piercing in pools for 24–48 hours, and in lakes, rivers, or oceans for at least 2 weeks.
    Piercing studs must remain in place for a minimum of 6 weeks for earlobe piercings and 12 weeks for helix (cartilage) piercings.

  • Megan Wegher, AuD, CCC-A is currently the only certified ear piercer at The Ear Studio.

  • We are located in the large office building across from HuHot at 4300 S. Lakeport St. 105A in a shared space with Midwest Audiology.

  • Yes, 14k gold earrings, lab created diamonds, and genuine diamonds are available for pre-order at the Ear Studio for an additional charge.

  • The Ear Studio accepts cash and card payments. There will be a 3% service charge added to all card transactions.

  • Ear Piercing availability will be released approximately one month in advance for booking. Appointments are preferred. A limited number of walk-in appointments are available only during studio hours.

  • Yes! The price includes everything, including the jewelry and premium aftercare solution. The only exception is if you choose to use the optional numbing cream for $10 or to upgrade to 14k Gold or diamond earrings.
