Ear Piercings

At The Ear Studio, all piercings are performed by an audiologist using either an FDA-registered, medical-grade hand-pressurized device with sterile, single-use cartridges or sterile, single-use hollow needle techniques. With the hand-pressurized device, the piercer maintains full control and gently guides the earring through the ear, creating a precise and comfortable experience. Needle techniques are used for more advanced placements and allow for enhanced precision while maintaining the same high standard of safety and hygiene.

Our goal is for every client to feel as comfortable as possible throughout the entire piercing process. The combination of medical-grade equipment, sterile techniques, and hypoallergenic jewelry provides a gentle, high-quality piercing experience. For added comfort, optional numbing cream is available.

Device Piercing

We utilize two of the leading hand-pressurized device systems in the U.S. Both use FDA-registered equipment with sterile, single-use cartridges, providing a precise and comfortable experience. Device piercings are available for ages 6 months and older and are ideal for earlobes, second and third lobe piercings, and select helix piercings. Optional numbing cream is available for ages 2 and older.

Needle Piercing

For more advanced placements, needle piercings are performed using sterile, single-use hollow needles. This technique allows for enhanced precision and is ideal for curated ear piercings. Needle piercings include earlobes, stacked lobes, helix, forward helix, flat, tragus, and conch. Needle piercings are offered for ages 14 and older.
